Sarah Newberry is a sailing athlete and coach with 16+ years experience in the sport.

Recently she spent 4 years as a full time professional in the Olympic sphere, competing in a mixed gender Olympic event raced on a high-speed, semi-foiling catamaran called the Nacra 17. 

After the Olympic Trials in January 2016, Sarah acted as a full-time training partner for the United States Olympic Team in the lead up to the Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro in August 2016.

Established as one of the best female drivers in multihull performance sailing in U.S. history, Sarah has won five National Championships, two North American Championships, and the ISAF World Cup Miami.

Separately, Sarah has over 12 years experience coaching dinghy and performance youth classes such as the Optimist, 420, and 29er. She was an active coach for the Olympic Development Program for the 2016 year, and is currently a racing coach at the Coral Reef Yacht Club.

In late 2017, Sarah will begin her second Olympic Campaign, a 3-year endeavor toward the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Follow along here!
